Dear Third Graders:

I have been enjoying your travels. I wish I could go with you. It was interesting to see where you would like to visit in the Northeast. You are very good writers.

It would be difficult for me to decide where I would want to go. I was there for a very short period of time when we drove through it. I really enjoyed driving through the Amish sections of Pennsylvania. Did you know that the Amish children still go to one-room school houses?

Thank you for allowing me to read about your travels. I hope you write more later.

Love,
Mrs. Greve

I miss being in the back of the class while the class is traveling! I was just looking through Dennis' scrap book that he made last year and I was thinking how much the kids enjoyed traveling.

New York City was so exciting! I was there the first weekend in November. The city never goes to sleep. There is always something going on. I am glad that you went to the Empire State Building. It is a beautiful site. I hope that you went to see the Statute of Liberty. That is also an awesome site. I actually climbed up into the base of the Statute of Liberty. The view of New York City is absolutely beautiful from the Statute. The subway system is not so beautiful, but an experience that everyone needs to experience once.
Enjoy!

We go to the Washington DC area every year to visit Zac's uncle. Zac has climbed the stairs of the Lincoln Memorial, visited the Vietnam Memorial, Korean Memorial, and also the World War II Memorial that was dedicated shortly before our visit. (Three years ago.) It is so exciting to see all this historic sites and I am glad that the third graders are able to visit this.

Thanks for sharing your trips with us.

We went to Hersey also in September. Zac took a tour of how chocolate kisses were made with his godmother. We also went into the store and bought tons of chocolate while we were there. It is delicious.

I am glad that you went to visit Hersey. Zac's godmother is only 10 minutes away from there, so we hope to visit again.
